LIMIS / Field devices

Capture readings by touch or voice.

Use a tablet for familiar forms, or a RealWear headset when the work calls for hands-free entry. LIMIS brings those readings into the same shared record.

Intrinsically safe equipment

The approval must fit the work area.

Intrinsic safety limits electrical energy and heat that could ignite flammable gases or combustible dust. It is a specific protection method, tied to the equipment’s certification.

Check the area

Match the zone or division, gas or dust group, temperature class, and local approvals, including Brazilian INMETRO requirements where applicable.

Check the complete setup

The model, enclosure, battery, mounting, and accessories must match the approved configuration. A rugged device or an IP rating alone does not establish intrinsic safety.

Confirm it with the plant

Review the manufacturer’s certificates and conditions of use with your safety team. Confirm firmware and LIMIS operation on the selected equipment during assessment and pilot.

Before the pilot

Choose the device for the job.

The right model
Match the device, operating system, and accessories to the round. Confirm the specific model’s suitability for your work areas, including any hazardous-area requirements.
Connectivity
LIMIS supports offline capture and syncing when coverage returns. Check connectivity and sync behavior on the devices and routes selected for the pilot.
Test it on a real round
Use the pilot to test the device with operators beside the equipment. Check voice or touch entry, screen readability, comfort, and fit with the daily routine.
